The InTray™ mFC is a microbiology sample collection, transport, and culture device for enumeration of fecal coliforms in water samples using membrane filtration procedures. Fecal coliform presence is indicative of animal fecal contamination caused by warm-blooded animals. The fully enclosed InTray™ system enhances safety by preventing contamination and reduces exposure to collected samples. This device integrates with standard method 9222 D as outlined by the American Public Health Association (APHA) in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Waste Water in accordance with EPA rule 40 CFR 141. 

Visual Results: 

  • E. coli and other fecal coliforms - Blue
  • Non fecal coliforms - Gray to cream colored
  • Enterococcus faecalis - Inhibited
